Partnering closely with the Senior Manager, Grants and Funding, you will identify, optimize, and manage funding opportunities including grant aid, R&D tax credits, and innovation-related incentives. Your work will directly support project performance, financial compliance, and return on investment across key initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Incentive Strategy & Execution:Identify and evaluate opportunities for grant aid, R&D tax credits, and other government or industry incentives.Lead the preparation and submission of financial documentation for claims and applications.Collaborate with technical teams to compile supporting evidence and ensure eligibility.Project Spend Management:Monitor and report on project budgets, actual spend, and forecasted costs.Ensure accurate allocation of costs to qualifying projects and maintain audit-ready records.Partner with project leads to align financial tracking with operational milestones.Stakeholder Engagement:Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and government bodies to support claims and drawdowns.Provide financial insights and updates to senior leadership on incentive performance and project ROI.Compliance & Reporting:Stay current on legislative changes affecting R&D tax regimes and grant funding.Maintain systems of record for R&D and grant-related financial data.Support internal and external audits related to incentive claims.Education & Experience:Level 8 Honors Bachelor's or Master's in FinanceProfessional Accounting qualificationMinimum 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, ideally with exposure to R&D tax credits or grant funding.Strong understanding of project accounting and cost tracking.Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and financial reporting tools.Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsExperience working with innovation teams or in a technology/manufacturing environment desirableFamiliarity with Irish and EU incentive schemes such as IDA Grants, R&D tax credits, Horizon Europe desirableAbility to translate complex financial data into strategic insights desirableAs a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most – united by a deep caring for human life.
