Clinical Psychology Leadership Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Psychologist to lead our team in providing high-quality psychology services to adults with disabilities.
About the Role:
As Principal Psychologist, you will be responsible for delivering leadership and management to our psychology department, ensuring effective service delivery, and contributing to service planning, development, evaluation, and quality initiatives. Your role will involve providing sessional inputs to clinical areas, working closely with senior management, and other multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated and comprehensive service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the delivery and future development of an effective low arousal psychology service in line with organisational priorities and department objectives.
* Provide sessional inputs to clinical areas in line with your professional expertise to support complex caseloads.
* Work with senior management and other Service Leaders/Heads of Discipline/multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive service delivery.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A recognised university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject.
* An Irish post-graduate professional doctorate psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling Psychology or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
* At least eight years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology.
