Data Migration IT Project Manager - Financial Services - Dublin - 6 months contract - HYBRID - PAYE
We are seeking a Data Migration IT Project Manager to join our client, a global insurance brand, in Dublin on an initial 6 months contract. For this role we're ideally looking for an IT Project Manager with a background in data and experience managing data migrations within the insurance or financial services industry.
Responsibilities:
* Provide outstanding project leadership in order to drive and implement the Data workstreams initiatives into an operational state, following established release, change, and quality management principles.
* Define project scope and required business outcomes, including defined deliverables, key interdependencies and resourcing requirements.
* Drive projects within the programme, working closely with all stakeholders and project teams, ensuring project objectives are met within agreed quality, time and cost and benefits metrics.
* Manage all activity on a project including discovery, business process design, system design and development, training, change management and communications, testing, business readiness & transition, rollout, handover and support.
* Actively manage the project plan against milestones, benefits, KPIs and manage any material change to the project scope, giving consideration to business outcomes.
* Provide impact assessments for changes to timings and scope within the project and ensure that change requests are managed according to defined processes and standard
Required Skills:
Experience & Delivery Capability
* Extensive experience in relevant project management roles, managing multiple projects.
* Proven ability to undertake and manage complex technical projects that drive transformational change with achievable benefits.
* Previous experience working on data migrations and data projects.
* Experience managing €1m-€5m budgets.
* Successful experience in change management within large or complex organisations, particularly delivering enterprise software implementation projects with infrastructure dependencies.
* Strong estimation, negotiation, planning, prioritisation, and dynamic replanning skills.
* Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to maintain control, professionalism, and momentum in stressful situations.
* High attention to detail.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
* Ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders and build trust and confidence at all levels.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across teams, business units, and external vendors.
* Participate, lead, coach, and motivate high-performance teams (where applicable).
* Create a team culture of openness, transparency, and interdependence.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Vendor, Governance & Compliance
* Manage vendors and vendor contracts to achieve deliverables and maintain positive working relationships.
* Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Sound knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and mitigation approaches.
Desirable Skills:
Industry & Domain
* Insurance or financial services experience.
* Experience working specifically on the data workstreams of a business transformation programme (data migration and/or rating engine deliveries).
* Knowledge of data-related transformation patterns and data governance landscapes.
Strategic & Behavioural
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide strategic perspectives.
* Demonstrated experience in contributing to or leading organisational culture aligned to company values.
* Proactive "can-do" attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and strong first-impression capability.
