Senior Financial Analyst – Responsibilities
* Work with the FP&A manager in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts and maintain the financial model up to date.
* Collaborate with commercial, professional services and business teams to reflect input in the financial model (budgets and forecasts); keep revenue forecasts current and track progress against monthly and quarterly targets.
* Prepare monthly actuals vs budget analyses to support the monthly reporting process and quarterly public reporting.
* Coordinate the preparation of monthly financial reporting including KPIs and other metrics.
* Prepare reports to external stakeholders as required.
* Support due diligence exercises and similar projects.
* Support the preparation of monthly management financial reports.
* Prepare schedules to support reporting to external finance providers with strict deadlines.
* Identify trends through financial analysis and recommend actions, including potential cost-saving opportunities, to the FP&A manager.
* Support refinement of planning tools (e.g., Abacum) to develop forecasts and targets for metrics.
* Maintain process documentation for planning and forecasting platforms.
* Understand analyst estimates and how they compare to Kneat’s forecast.
* Benchmark Kneat’s SaaS metrics against similar companies.
* Ensure budgetary controls are in place and operating effectively.
* Maintain briefing information of key historical and forecast information for CFO and CEO in analyst and IR meetings.
* Support improvement initiatives across the finance department and the business.
* Coordinate with the CFO and executive team on long-term financial planning.
* Periodically review alternative budgeting systems and evaluate them against Kneat’s systems.
* Maintain commissions software and ensure timely and accurate calculations.
* Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
* Professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
* 5+ years of PQE, preferably in a financial planning and analysis role.
* High proficiency in financial modelling; advanced Excel; Power BI experience is an advantage.
* High attention to detail with numerical and written accuracy.
* Positive, self-motivated individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience with non-Excel budgeting/planning systems is an advantage.
* Public company experience is an advantage.
* Experience with NetSuite is a plus (not a requirement).
