Within its Diagnostics Division, there is significant investment at present, being undertaken in their operation in the West of Ireland. There is a growing R&D operation being developed here due to the introduction of three new products. An opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate to join this dynamic R&D team.
You will coordinate with other teams while also being an individual contributor to various project developments. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of laboratory experiments, upkeeping data records, analysing experimental data, and drawing conclusions from this information.
Responsibilities
* Support assay/bioassay execution in bio safety level 3 environment.
* Collaborate on drafting and submitting protocols for testing and data analysis.
* Prepare reports and deliver presentations internally; share knowledge with the team.
* Set up Centre of Excellence R&D lab, including authoring SOPs, equipment procurement, and maintenance documentation.
* Author and review operating procedures and related documentation.
* Ensure safe work practices and behaviour.
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures and QMS.
Qualifications
* Science-related degree or equivalent experience.
* 18+ months of relevant industrial experience.
* Adaptable to changing priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
* Strong analytic skills with an understanding of statistics.
* Proficient in technical writing and data presentation.
