Service Technician required for an international valve supplier. This role will provide technical service, support, and training for the products at pharmaceutical client sites nationwide and across Europe. This will be a customer-facing role supporting the Irish sales team.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for products.
2. On-site maintenance and repairs of valves and automation components.
3. On-site training and supervision of customer maintenance teams where requested.
4. Prepare and maintain detailed service reports and documentation.
5. Manage customer complaints and resolutions.
6. Support the sales team to understand customer requirements, provide technical solutions, and deliver technical presentations and support.
7. Deliver training sessions and technical presentations to customers and internal teams.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and product developments.
Experience:
* Relevant qualification in science, engineering, electrical, or instrumentation is beneficial but not essential.
* Proven experience in a technical service or engineering role, preferably in the valves or automation industry, is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Aptitude for problem-solving and technical solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility and availability to travel for on-site support and training sessions in Ireland and abroad (approximately 30% of working days).
* Proficiency in technical documentation and service tools.
* Experience with CRM or other reporting systems is beneficial.
* Strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Experience in presenting to customers is important.
* Full clean driver's license and valid passport required.
