Job Description:
The Academic Manager is responsible for all aspects of the academic department, including learner management, teacher support and development, and operational processes and policies.
Qualifications:
* Educated to Degree Level (QQI Level 7 or equivalent)
* DELTA, Trinity Diploma in TESOL, or MA in ELT/TESOL (meeting validation, entry, teaching practice, and input criteria)
Responsibilities:
* Oversee curricula and syllabi for all English language programmes
* Oversee assessment frameworks and develop assessment materials
* Review weekly lesson plans for curriculum alignment
* Induct new English language teaching staff
* Address student complaints per ISE policies
* Organize and report peer reviews and teacher observations
* Support and develop teaching staff
* Conduct appraisals and follow-up on issues
* Hold weekly meetings with teachers
* Report to the Chief Executive and Board of Management
* Ensure effective teaching resources and facilities
* Liaise with social activities coordinator and management on scheduling and activities
* Represent ISE externally as needed
* Coordinate with Sales & Marketing on new courses
* Maintain open-door policy for students and staff
* Perform teaching duties if student numbers are low
* Maintain accurate records respecting Data Protection laws
* Ensure policy compliance and health & safety adherence
* Recruit teachers within approved levels
* Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulation requirements
Salary: €35,000 - €40,000
