Bid Management Opportunity
This is a chance to lead the tendering process, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality bids that align with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in tendering, proposals, or project management within the energy or utilities sector, ideally within the Irish or EU market. They will have a strong understanding of the energy industry, specifically in renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure projects.
* Tender Preparation and Management:
o Lead the end-to-end tendering process for energy-related projects, from initial qualification to submission.
o Analyse tender documents and customer requirements, assessing opportunities, feasibility, risks, and potential for the company.
o Develop comprehensive and competitive bids, proposals, and pricing structures to maximise profitability while meeting client expectations.
o Ensure compliance with all technical, financial, legal, and regulatory standards required within the Irish energy industry.
o Identify/Develop a reliable Supply Chain for the various activities within our sector.
o Keep our Project Reference List updated with all completed projects & develop associated Case Studies for same.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance, procurement, administration, and legal teams to gather input for bid proposals.
* Coordinate with external suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather accurate data and cost estimates.
* Act as a liaison between clients, consultants, and the internal team to ensure clear communication and expectations alignment.
* Mentor Junior Tendering Engineers and manage complex, multi-stakeholder bids.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
* Experience: 7+ years of experience in tendering, proposals, or project management within the energy or utilities sector, ideally within the Irish or EU market.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the energy industry, specifically in renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure projects.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Familiarity with tendering software and CRM tools.
* Financial Acumen: Ability to prepare accurate and competitive pricing and financial models.
* Negotiation and Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
