Harper Finley have partnered with an Accountancy firm in Lucan to hire an experienced
Audit Manager
In Practice on a
full-time permanent
basis. This role will be responsible for managing a small team and delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse client base. This role involves travelling to clients sites, therefore a driving licence is desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring excellent client service is delivered at all times.
* Leading the planning of audit engagements, including determining timing, staffing and structure, and ensuring audits are conducted efficiently.
* Liaising directly with clients, building strong professional relationships, and participating in planning and closing meetings as well as discussions on wider business developments.
* Reviewing audit work papers prepared by junior staff, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with professional standards.
* Reviewing and finalising statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
* Researching and resolving technical queries for clients, providing clear and practical advice.
* Actively contributing to client meetings relating to audit and accounting assignments.
* Supporting effective cash management, including initiating fee invoices and monitoring collection of receivables.
* Overseeing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their technical development and on-the-job training.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and audit methodology.
* Staying up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, sharing knowledge with the wider team.
* Active involvement in Business Development for the firm.
Role Requirements:
* 4 years' experience in a professional audit environment.
* 2 years' experience in the Irish Market
.
* Irish Driving Licence and own transport.
* Technically strong on relevant accounting standards, auditing standards and Irish and EU Company law.
* Experience in auditing small, medium and large companies and groups across a broad spectrum of industries and ability to apply a practical risk-based approach to auditing.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Experience of leading, supervising and training staff.
* Proven track record of planning and organising assignments efficiently and meeting client expectations.
Salary:
* €90,000
