The Board of Directors of Dingle Literary Festival (Dingle Lit club) is currently recruiting a number of new Board Directors with experience in the following areas:
Finance
Fundraising
Festivals
These are voluntary roles and an opportunity for contributing to advising on the sustainability of Dingle Lit's ongoing delivery of its vibrant bilingual literary festival programme.
Dingle Lit is a company limited by guarantee, set up in 2019, to bring some of the best of contemporary writers in English to our local audience, and celebrate the rich literary and cultural heritage of the area through an Irish language programme, as well as supporting new writing in Irish.
Recruitment of a Finance-focused Director is a priority.
This Director will Chair the Finance Committee, working with the Treasurer and Bookkeeper to ensure a robust financial control environment remains in place, and present a quarterly review of finances to the Board.
Accountancy qualifications and previous board experience desirable.
All Directors will be required to attend approximately four board meetings during the year, held by Zoom, and the Finance Director will be required to chair approximately four finance meetings and report to board on these meetings.
Invitations to openings and complimentary tickets to events where possible are on offer to Board Directors.
