We offer meaningful opportunities for growth, a culture of inclusion, and a commitment to transparency and integrity.RoleRole - GSC Network Operation AdministratorDuration - 6 month FTCLocation - Arklow officeResponsibilitiesOperates consoles, online terminals, and monitoring stations for the Network within the GSC.Work under the supervision of the GSC Manager and also be able to work independently, prioritizing daily activities.Inform the Manager, users, communication centers, support staff, and vendors of system status, processing exceptions, and equipment malfunctions.Analyze and resolve application and system events.Attend Incident bridge calls to help triage and resolve P2 incident tickets with other support team stakeholders.Provide proactive IT Operations support in a large, complex, high-transaction environment.Closely monitor exception monitoring tools to ensure established service levels are met.Demonstrate urgency and commitment required for managing a 24/7 operation.Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely incident records; adhere to policies, standards, and procedures.Cover peripheral Stratus Operator tasks within the GSC and provide cover for lunch breaks when required.Adopt a flexible approach to cover Change maintenance activity; raise and participate in Change activity ServiceNow Tasks as required.When required and with agreement from the GSC Manager, collaborate with other teams on Network projects, audits, and compliance activities.Be innovative regarding new products and equipment that may enhance Network Operations, e.g., ThousandEyes and Cloud-based monitoring.This role is shift work involving a 4-week cycle of 14 x 12-hour shifts (8am–8pm and 8pm–8am), including 2 weekends within the cycle.The role is onsite with hybrid flexibility from time to time when resources allow.Skills and QualificationsProactive problem solver with the ability to address technical issues at Tier 1 level and call out additional support as needed.Good team player with ability to work independently when required.Diligent with attention to detail and strong follow-through.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with business teams, tech support, customers, and management.Flexible for long incidents, including 12-hour periods.High School diploma or equivalent.At least 1 year of experience in a data center operating environment and day-to-day operational requirements of production systems and equipment.Preferred skills/experience include knowledge of telecommunications, hardware infrastructure, computer operations, and IT systems management.Location expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.AccessibilityWe are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible recruitment experience.
