Responsibilities
Manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects from initial estimates to final accounts.
Prepare, negotiate, and analyze contracts, tenders, and subcontracts.
Provide accurate cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting throughout project life cycles.
Conduct risk and value management and cost control exercises.
Evaluate and certify subcontractor payments and variations.
Support procurement processes, including supplier and subcontractor selection.
Advise on commercial and contractual matters to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Lead cost meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Mentor and support junior surveyors and contribute to team development.
Assist with dispute resolution and claims management where necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional membership (e.g., RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) preferred.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
