Senior Site Engineer Location: Waterford Salary: Up to €80,000 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time A long-established developer with a strong presence across the South East is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their expanding team in Waterford. The company delivers a diverse portfolio of projects including mixed residential housing, multi-storey student accommodation, and commercial office developments, taking projects from concept through to completion. Role Overview: The Senior Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of multiple live projects, overseeing site engineering activities, quality assurance, and coordination between design and construction teams. This position offers the opportunity to work within a hands-on, design-conscious developer environment where technical input and problem-solving are highly valued throughout the build process. Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering and technical delivery on site, ensuring works are executed in line with drawings, specifications, and programme. Oversee setting out, surveying, quality control, and documentation. Coordinate with architects, design consultants, and internal development teams to resolve design and technical issues. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site teams, promoting a collaborative approach to project delivery. Support planning and sequencing of construction activities across multiple live developments. Contribute to value engineering and buildability reviews during pre-construction and construction stages. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5+ years experience as a Site or Senior Engineer within a main contractor environment. Proven experience delivering residential and multi-storey projects (RC frame experience advantageous). Strong technical, organisational, and communication skills.
