Academic Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Academic Manager. As an Academic Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the academic department, including learner management, teacher support and development, operational processes and policies.
About the Role:
* Job Description: The Academic Manager will oversee the development of existing curricula and syllabi for all English language programmes, review and revise weekly lesson plans to ensure they align with programme curriculum and syllabus.
* Required Skills and Qualifications: Educated to degree level (QQI Level 7 or equivalent), DELTA, Trinity Diploma in TESOL, or MA in ELT/TESOL. Additionally, experience in teaching and staff development is essential.

* Key Responsibilities: The Academic Manager will be directly accountable for several key duties and responsibilities, including Curriculum Development, Teacher Support, Operational Processes, Communication and Liaison, and Teaching Duties.
Curriculum Development:
1. Oversee the development of existing curricula and syllabi for all English language programmes.
2. Review and revise weekly lesson plans to ensure they align with programme curriculum and syllabus.
Teacher Support:
1. Induction of new English language teaching staff.
2. Provision of support to new/inexperienced teachers.
3. Conducting of teaching staff appraisals.
Operational Processes:
1. Establish and maintain a routine of teacher observations.
2. Organise and report on peer reviews.
Communication and Liaison:
1. Liaise with senior management as directed.
2. Represent the institution in communicating with external stakeholders.
Teaching Duties:
1. Perform teaching duties when necessary.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in respect of both teacher and student performance.
Other particular tasks and duties may be assigned to the Employee, within their competence and capability.
