A rapidly evolving, international organisation is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to support its growing Group Finance function on a 5 month contract.
This is a hands‑on role suited to a technically strong finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, change‑oriented environment.
The Group Financial Controller will play a key role in managing end‑to‑end group finance operations across multiple jurisdictions.
You will be responsible for ensuring strong financial control, high‑quality reporting, and effective collaboration with divisional finance teams globally.
This role requires flexibility around working hours due to international stakeholders and offers exposure to senior leadership within the group.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Group Finance operations including controllership, accounts payable, payroll, cash flow, financial analysis, and reporting
Lead the consolidated group period‑end close, ensuring accurate reconciliations and data integrity
Own the Group audit process and coordinate audits across subsidiaries
Prepare statutory financial statements in line with local accounting standards
Ensure completeness and accuracy of governmental, tax, and payroll filings
Provide financial insight and strategic support to senior management
Partner with divisional finance teams to monitor and challenge business performance
Assess financial risk and strengthen financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks
Key Requirements
Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)
5+ years' post‑qualified experience in a Group Financial Controller or similar role
Strong experience in consolidated reporting within a complex or large corporate environment
Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
Experience operating in fast‑paced, change-driven environments

Comfortable operating hands‑on while contributing strategically
Strong communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
High standards of integrity and professionalism
