Civil Engineer - Design
Location: Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Salary: €35k-50k DOE
Permanent Full time. Mon - Fri.
Hybrid after completion of probation.
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their expanding team. With offices in Dublin, Limerick, and Cork, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to landmark national projects across both the public and private sectors.
Sample current projects include:
* Major mixed-use developments
* Sports and leisure facilities
* Education sector projects
* Large-scale urban regeneration schemes
* High-profile retail developments
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 2–3 years’ postgraduate experience
* Commitment to achieving Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland (or equivalent)
* Strong grasp of core engineering principles with a technical focus
* Proficiency in MS Office and civil design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, TRICs, Tuflow, EPANet, etc.
* Ability to apply scientific methods to solve engineering problems, with awareness of limitations of standards and codes
* Experience supporting project planning and resource management
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
* Understanding of Irish regulations, policy issues, and project delivery processes (including GCCC Contracts)
* Commitment to CPD and continuous learning
* Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
