Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee several mechanical contracts at once, managing all phases from initial planning and budgeting through execution and project close-out.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and technical teams to ensure projects align with client requirements and are completed within agreed timelines and cost parameters.
* Perform routine site inspections to track progress, address emerging issues, and verify adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
* Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, including managing contract discussions and commercial agreements when required.
* Take ownership of project finances, including cost management, budget tracking, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
* Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, relevant standards, and health and safety requirements.
* Coordinate with internal departments to maintain schedule alignment, cost control, and efficient project delivery.
* Contribute to the preparation of proposals, tenders, and bid documentation for new project opportunities.
* Put in place robust systems for tracking, reviewing, and managing agreed expenditure.
* Implement cost-control and value-management processes and ensure accurate, timely commercial reporting for senior leadership.
* Collaborate with directors and site management teams to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support effective decision-making.
* Prepare monthly progress updates for senior leadership.
* Work in partnership with senior management to support ongoing organisational goals.
* Promote constructive, collaborative working relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
* 10 years' experience as a Project or Contracts Manager within the mechanical or HVAC sector.
* Significant experience in tool installation is a
key requirement for this role.
* Proven experience managing mechanical packages on large-scale projects.
* Demonstrated project management expertise in scheduling, budgeting, planning, and risk management.
* Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and perform under pressure.
* Willingness to travel across Europe when required.
* Possession of a full, clean driving licence.
