Our client, a global provider of machinery automation solutions, is seeking to recruit a Strategic Accounts Manager to join their growing team. The role involves establishing and developing strong relationships with key clients and industry leaders, recognizing opportunities for business growth, and working closely with internal and external colleagues to deliver customer satisfaction and achieve company targets.
Role:
1. Become the focal point of the company in Ireland for developing business relationships within the chosen industry sector, acting as the front-end representative with industry clients and specifiers.
2. Serve as the main contact for colleagues in headquarters and other subsidiaries on application and project issues.
3. Support field-based sales staff by helping to support projects and maximize client satisfaction through their suppliers.
4. Identify opportunities for increased product penetration through upselling and cross-selling with existing and new clients.
5. Collaborate with internal teams across commercial, design, and technical support to respond effectively and promptly to client issues, directly or via local suppliers.
6. Develop an understanding of the Datacentre industry sector, including client business objectives, market needs, challenges, and trends, to develop strategies for business growth.
7. Gain knowledge of hardware and software products across various technologies, including Electrical, Automation & Control, Networking, and Communications.
8. Maintain regular and effective communication regarding client and industry issues with the Dublin headquarters and other subsidiaries.
9. Achieve set targets and contribute to growing the brand's market share in the target industry sector.
10. Participate in industry events to build and forge relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers.
11. Demonstrate proactivity and initiative in achieving overall company objectives.
12. Be flexible to undertake additional responsibilities as requested by management.
13. Travel within Ireland and abroad as required.

* Proficient in MS Office and experience with CRM systems.
