Principal Ecologist
We are offering a nationwide role for a Principal Ecologist to join our team at GreenJobs Ltd.
About the Role
* Manage individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services.
* Provide expert ecological input for various projects.
* Plan, conduct, and supervise site ecological surveys and fieldwork.
* Prepare and monitor Construction Environmental Management Plans.
* Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments.
* Write technical reports and other deliverables.
* Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of contracts.
* Provide expert witness at Oral Hearings.
* Develop strong relationships with clients and attend meetings as necessary.
Requirements
* A degree in ecology or a related subject.
* At least 10 years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy.
* Membership in CIEEM, CIWEM, or an equivalent professional body.
* Experience in the oral hearing process and expert witness role.
* Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation in Ireland.
* Excellent technical report writing skills.
* Experience in Construction Environmental Management Plans.
* Multidisciplinary team work experience.
* Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills.
* A full clean driving licence.
