In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial construction, utilizing your craftsmanship and attention to detail to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
* Construct, install, and repair structures such as walls, floors, and cabinetry with precision and skill.
* Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
* Ensure that all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople and construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.
* Perform site measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy before commencing work.
* Maintain an organized and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
* Assist in training apprentices and junior carpenters as required.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or relevant training program is preferred.
* Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
