Site Project Manager Job Description
Our organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a team of professionals in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough pre-construction condition surveys on projects prior to commencement.
* Provide site supervision and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with approved standards.
* Develop and implement programming and scheduling strategies to maximize resource efficiency.
* Ensure key project milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
* Collaborate with design teams to resolve issues and provide solutions.
* Liaise with utility providers, councils, and project managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Roster staff on sites as necessary and ensure adequate resource allocation.
* Engage with the Quality Department to identify cost-effective processes and explore alternative solutions.
* Monitor site inductions, communicate method statements and safe systems of work to all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
* Ensure adherence to company Health and Safety policies and legislative requirements.
* Coordinate the delivery of materials and ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Develop and implement traffic management plans to minimize disruptions.
* Monitor and control subcontractor performance and quality, ensuring that agreed standards are met.
* Compile and maintain accurate records for safety files and reports as required by contracts.
* Deliver projects within agreed scope, quality, budget, and timeframe.
Requirements:
* Proficient in administrative skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Windows, engineering applications, and Outlook.
* Strong awareness of health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, and traffic management principles.
* In-depth knowledge of civil engineering practices, including site plant and equipment operation.
* Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
* Extensive experience in site management and leadership roles.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
* Experience in attending meetings and contributing to discussions.
* Skilled in quality control and assurance procedures.
* Third Level Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering preferred.
