Senior Programmer
Co. Donegal - Hybrid (fortnightly visits to office, otherwise remote)

Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Programmer with experience in integrating APIs into existing websites and web programming, using PHP. You will have full responsibility of managing the API, including bug fixing and development of new features, as well as ensuring the API is up to date with latest trends and best practices in API design and security. MUST HAVE experience integrating third party APIs into websites and back-office systems. High level of knowledge of PHP and SQL. Providing support will also be a key aspect of the role.
Required:
· 5 years' experience using PHP in a development role, working on websites and APIs
· PHP, HTML/CSS, Javascript (or frameworks), JSON
· Experience with implementing strong data security
· Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational databases
· Proficient in Excel
· Able to think holistically whilst maintaining attention to detail
· Able to work independently within a small team
· Proactive and able to build good relationships with business users
· Full clean drivers' license and car (or a way to the office every 2 weeks)
Desirable (not essential):
· Experience with WordPress
· Experience working with financial data an advantage
