Quality Technician Job Description
We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our team at CPL Healthcare.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Developing and implementing LEAN systems to improve quality and manufacturing execution times, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
2. Conducting regular internal quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Managing quality records, analyzing and reviewing non-conformances and customer complaints, and investigating root causes to prevent recurrence.
4. Liaising with customers' auditors to ensure corrective actions are executed and customer specifications are met, maintaining strong relationships and resolving issues promptly.
5. Collaborating with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality plan that aligns with national and international standards and legislation, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
6. Communicating effectively with various departments to maintain product supply and facilitate new product introductions through process flow establishment, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
7. Working closely with purchasing staff to define quality requirements for external suppliers, ensuring consistency and reliability.
8. Performing tests and checks to ensure products meet quality standards, following standard operating procedures and documented guidelines.
9. Developing and updating comprehensive quality procedures, including technical reports and SOPs, to support continuous improvements and ensure effective quality management.
10. Maintaining quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process, and finished goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
11. Establishing clear quality methods and providing training to staff as part of continuous improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and quality awareness.
12. Setting service standards for customers, responding to queries, and providing relevant product and process information in a professional and courteous manner.
13. Creating trend reports on internal and external NCRs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
14. Supporting the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the IPPC License, monitoring reports, and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills Required
* Degree or third-level qualification in Science, Food, or Production is essential.
* Experience in internal auditing is advantageous, but not essential.
* Manufacturing experience is highly desirable, particularly in a quality-related role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Results-driven with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience with QMS systems and preparing for external audits is beneficial, but not essential.
* Detail-oriented, results-oriented, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment, with excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Dependable, adaptable, creative, and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure.
