Role Purpose:
The Communications Executive will support the Communications team with the delivery of consumer and corporate communications and assist with the implementation of HRI's Communications Strategy in line with strategic priorities.
This role reports to the Communications Manager, working as part of a team, and requires excellent communication skills to effectively communicate to all key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of impactful and effective communications strategies that align with HRI's strategic goals and objectives.
* Prepare press releases and support media relations activity.
* Support the delivery of HRI events including the HRI Awards, season finales, media launches and yard visits.
* Assist with the production of corporate publications and print material such as the Factbook, Annual Report and Fixture List
* Act as liaison with designers, printers and other key suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with data protection, FOI and other relevant policies.
* Maintain corporate website
* Administration support for various committees and forums
* Management of press office and stakeholder databases
* Assist in the management of shared mailboxes
* Monitor racing coverage across all media platforms
Skills and Experience:
* A third-level qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline.
* An understanding of the horse racing industry is desirable
* Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
* Strong attention to detail with high quality work output
* Ability to work under pressure in a time sensitive environment
* Proficiency with content management systems and digital communication tools.
* Ability to develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders
* Self-motivated and quick to learn
* A collaborative team player demonstrating flexibility and a proactive work ethic
