About The Physio Guys
The Physio Guys is a South Dublin-based musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice established in ****.
We are built on an evidence-informed, rehab-led treatment philosophy.
Our clinicians work with patients to identify and resolve the underlying drivers of injury and dysfunction — not just manage symptoms.
We invest in our team.
We pay above-market rate, foster a supportive clinical environment, and give our physiotherapists the time and autonomy to deliver the kind of care that drives real, lasting outcomes for patients.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior MSK Physiotherapist who is confident in managing an independent caseload of musculoskeletal, sporting, and activity-related injuries.
This clinician leads with rehabilitation — using progressive loading, therapeutic exercise, and patient education as primary treatment tools — and supplements with skilled manual therapy to facilitate movement and recovery.
You will be trusted to manage your own diary, build long-term patient relationships, and deliver treatment plans that prioritise meaningful functional outcomes and high plan completion rates.
Clinical Environment & Caseload
Caseload: Predominantly MSK, sporting injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain/persistent injury presentations
Approach: Rehab-led, evidence-informed practice.
Manual therapy is valued as a clinical tool to create a window of opportunity for active rehabilitation — not as a standalone treatment
Autonomy: You will manage your own caseload, clinical decision-making, and patient scheduling independently
Facilities: Access to gym-based rehabilitation space at Sportsco and BD Gyms Cherrywood as well as fully stocked treatment rooms at both locations
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive MSK assessments using advanced clinical reasoning to inform differential diagnosis and treatment planning
Design and deliver progressive, individualised rehabilitation programmes
Apply skilled manual therapy techniques (including dry needling where appropriate) to facilitate recovery and support active rehab goals
Manage patient expectations through clear, empathetic communication — simplifying complex pathology and building genuine rapport from the first session
Maintain high patient retention and treatment plan completion rates through excellent clinical care and relationship management
Write thorough clinical notes and communicate professionally with GPs, consultants, and other healthcare providers
Handle patient rebooking, payment processing, and diary management as part of independent caseload ownership
Essential Requirements
Current, active CORU registration as a Physiotherapist (not pending, not in progress — must be confirmed at time of application)
Current ISCP membership
Professional Indemnity Insurance (in place or obtainable prior to start date)
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification clinical experience in a private practice or sports clinic MSK setting (hospital rotations alone are not sufficient)
Demonstrable expertise in exercise prescription, progressive loading, and rehabilitation programme design
Proven ability to manage an independent caseload without day-to-day clinical supervision
Current, unrestricted right to work in the Republic of Ireland (visa sponsorship is not offered)
Desirable Criteria
Dry needling qualification
Formal Strength & Conditioning qualification or Pilates instructor certification
Experience working with sporting populations (amateur through elite)
Post-graduate qualifications in MSK, Sports, or Manual Therapy
Familiarity with practice management software and digital clinical note-taking
What We Offer
Competitive salary paid above market rate and reviewed annually
Supportive, collaborative clinical environment with regular peer case review
Access to gym and rehab facilities at Sportsco and Cherrywood locations
Autonomy and clinical freedom — we trust our clinicians to lead their caseloads
A genuine commitment to work-life balance in a friendly, low-ego team
How to Apply
To apply, please send the following to ******:
Your CV (PDF format preferred)
A short cover letter (max 300 words)
Your CORU registration number
Applications without a cover letter or CORU registration number will not be reviewed.
