Role DescriptionThe Supply Chain – Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, materials, and information throughout the supply chain. This role plays a critical part in coordinating procurement, inventory, warehousing, and transportation activities to achieve timely delivery and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with strong organizational and communication skills to maintain seamless coordination between internal teams and external partners.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, tracking, and delivery management.Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs.Support procurement activities by assisting with order processing, vendor communication, and purchase documentation.Prepare and maintain shipping, import/export, and customs documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.Track and report on key logistics performance indicators such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and order accuracy.Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.Collaborate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to align supply chain operations with business needs.Resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.Ensure proper documentation and data accuracy within ERP or inventory management systems.Support the implementation of logistics strategies, policies, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.Assist in supplier evaluation and performance tracking to maintain reliable partnerships.Contribute to sustainability initiatives and cost optimization efforts within the supply chain.Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across logistics activities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or inventory management.Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation, and warehouse management principles.Proficiency in ERP or logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal teams and vendors.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret logistics data and suggest operational improvements.Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and compliance standards is an advantage.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Team player with a proactive approach and commitment to operational excellence.
