Growing together.As an Epic Client Systems Administrator, you will Install, configure, maintain and deploy the Epic client. The Epic Client Systems Administrator is essential for ensuring Epic application and infrastructure changes are communicated to the necessary teams across the enterprise. You'll have the opportunity to maintain Epic production (PRD) and non-production (non-PRD) Hyperspace/Hyperdrive environments, in addition to MyChart and Web Services infrastructure.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully complete all required job training, including Epic certification, within first six months of employment and keep certifications up to dateInstall, configure, maintain and deploy the Epic client and other delivery infrastructure components on Microsoft Windows serversMaintain and support Epic ancillary services like Hyperspace and Interconnect and the related servicesHelp manage the Change Control processes for all Epic environment build migrations and infrastructure upgradesMonitor Epic system performance as part of daily operational requirementsReview Sherlock and Galaxy notes and apply routine upgrades to all Epic environment client applications and back-end servicesAssist in integrating other applications with Epic using web servicesImplement Epic system high availability strategies and mechanismsMonitor and fine tune the performance of Caché database instancesDevelop disaster recovery proceduresMaintain Epic production (PRD) and non-production (non-PRD) Hyperspace, Hyperdrive, and client connection environmentsTroubleshoot and diagnoses Epic application issues and implement solutionsEnsure Epic application and infrastructure changes are communicated to the necessary teams across the enterpriseDefine, create user accounts, profiles, roles and maintain required audit informationWorks closely with database, environment/infrastructure and internal/external enterprise security teamsProvide on call support for production performance/availability or other critical issuesYou will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsDegree Qualified in relevant field (Data Science or STEM subject) or equivalent experienceProven experience working with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group PolicyProven solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skillsProven experience with Citrix, VMware, or similar virtualization technologiesProven ability to be self motivated, flexible, and able to work independently in a fast paced environmentWillingness to participate in a 24x7 on call rotationPreferred QualificationsProven experience supporting Epic client applications and infrastructureProven experience with healthcare IT systems and workflowsDemonstrated knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.)Proven prior experience in large enterprise environments with 24/7 clinical operationsPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
