We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse to join and support the team at a reputable Nursing Home in Dublin, Ireland Responsibilities Ensure the efficient running of the Nursing Home and promote an atmosphere that supports the comfort, dignity, and well-being of all residents.
Monitor residents' health, report any signs of illness or deterioration, and arrange GP or professional visits as needed.
Develop, implement, and regularly update individualised Care Plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, in line with An Bord Altranais and company guidelines.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of new residents and maintain ongoing evaluations of all residents' health and social care needs.
Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately, documenting all actions in compliance with professional and organisational standards.
Maintain accurate records, provide thorough handovers between shifts, and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and policy requirements.
Foster effective communication with residents, families, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team, and actively participate in staff and resident meetings.
Uphold high standards of health and safety, promptly reporting hazards, accidents, or infections, and ensuring compliance with fire and emergency procedures.
Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all dealings with residents' personal, financial, and medical information.
Support the Director of Nursing and management team by adhering to company policies, ensuring cleanliness and security, and performing any additional duties as required.
Requirements Current registration with An Bord Altranais/NMBI.
First-level Nurse qualification.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
Genuine interest in working with older persons and delivering high-quality resident care.
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and compassion at all times.
Experience or qualification in care for the relevant client group.
Knowledge of HIQA Standards and regulatory requirements in residential care.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a similar healthcare setting.
