Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, a non-profit homeless services provider, are seeking enthusiastic Social Care Workers to join their team in Dublin.
This position is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our residential children's service team, where your role will involve providing nurturing care, protection, and encouragement to vulnerable or dependent young individuals, whether individually or in groups. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with a diverse array of professionals from various disciplines and external agencies to develop customized interventions aimed at overcoming the specific challenges hindering these young individuals from remaining in their homes.
What you will do:
1. Serve as a key support figure for individual young people, fostering partnerships with external agencies referred to the service
2. Provide support to young individuals who have undergone trauma or exhibit challenging behaviour
3. Advocate for the social work, aftercare, education, training, and legal rights of young individuals.
4. Foster the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of each young person under our care.
5. Uphold the rights and responsibilities of every young person within our service.
6. Communicate with parents, family members, general services, and other agencies on behalf of the young person.
7. Maintain accurate records related to the residential unit and individual young people in compliance with legal requirements and health and safety regulations.
8. Encourage the active involvement of young people in decision-making processes concerning their lives, both individually and collectively.
9. Attend and actively contribute to team, review, and agency meetings as necessary.
10. Fulfil other reasonable duties as assigned in consultation with the manager and deputy manager.
11. Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Welfare at Work regulations and promptly report any concerns to management.
Essential Requirements:
12. A Third level Degree in Social Care or equivalent
13. Demonstrated hands-on experience in a social care environment at a professional level or equivalent.
14. Working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection
15. Experience of key working, assessments, and care planning.
16. Experience in providing assistance to marginalized clients or groups, particularly adolescents
17. Full clean driving license is required
18. Agree to participate in a 7-day, 24-hour shift roster including Nights and 12 hour shifts
Desirable Requirements:
19. Familiarity and comprehension of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model.

Contract Hours:
20. 1 x Part-time, Specific Purpose Contract ( 19.5 hours)
21. 1 x Full Time Permanent Contract ( 39 hours 12/12.5 hour day shifts)
