Lecturer/Senior Lecturers in Cyber Security (Technical), UNSW Canberra.
Employment type: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
Duration: Continuing to commence 2025 or 2026.
Remuneration: Level B from $127,947; Level C from $155,403 plus 17% super.
Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus.

Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research, and administration through course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and other administrative duties related to the school and faculty objectives.
Areas of interest include but are not limited to cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science.
The role reports to the Head of School.
Who You Are (Skills and Experience)
A PhD in a related discipline, plus relevant work experience.
A good track record of research and publication and/or competitive research income.
Demonstrated expertise and currency in cybersecurity technical areas.
Evidence of teaching and learning design, development, delivery and pastoral care of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with positive evaluation.
Experience using and designing with educational technologies and flexible delivery platforms.
Strong interpersonal and organisational communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
Ability to work with and support students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Experience working with industries and professional bodies and applying work integrated learning.
Senior Lecturer (Level C) – In Addition To Level B
Course and program development.
Research output through publications in high-impact journals.
Research grant successes.
Postgraduate supervision.
Academic administration and staff mentoring.
Community and industry engagement.
