Key Account Manager – Food Manufacturing
We’re looking for a commercially focused and driven Key Account Manager to support and grow relationships with well-known retail customers across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Role Scope
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will support the development and execution of strategic account plans, help manage joint business planning processes, and contribute to volume and margin growth. The role is based on-site in the North Leinster / border region, with a minimum of 3+ days per week in-office and weekly travel for customer visibility.

Key Responsibilities
• Support customer account plans, including promotional calendars and pricing files.
• Help manage relationships with major Irish grocery retailers.
• Prepare and manage Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and sales proposals.
• Track performance metrics, forecast volumes, and report results to senior leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with planning, marketing, and operations.
• Attend monthly buyer meetings and contribute to planning and follow-up actions.
• Liaise with field and van sales teams to align execution on the ground.
• Travel 1 day per week to trade visits and in-store audits.
What We're Looking For
• 5 years' experience in sales, commercial support, or account management (ideally FMCG or food sector).
• Strong commercial instincts and understanding of volume, margin, and promotional levers.
• Detail-oriented with good reporting, Excel, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable communicating with both internal teams and retail buyers.
• Experience with Irish retail or foodservice channels is preferred.
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Agri-Business, or Food Science.
