Here, you'll be encouraged to develop your interests, supported by experienced colleagues who genuinely care about your success.What the Role Looks LikeThis is a part-time, permanent position, ideally working 2-3 days per week with 1 in 5 weekends and 1 weeknight on-call.We are flexible – if you're looking for something more full–time, we'd be happy to discuss that too.Day-to-day duties include a mix of GP consultations, soft tissue surgeries, imaging, and dental work. You'll have the opportunity to manage both routine and more complex cases, with access to great facilities including radiography, ultrasound, a dental suite, and separate surgical and consult spaces.We actively encourage professional growth. Whether you want to pursue a certificate or explore a new area of interest, we'll provide full funding and mentoring to help you get there.Who We AreBrittas Veterinary Hospital is a long-established, two-site small animal practice based in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Our main hospital handles both first and second opinion cases, as well as referral work for neighbouring practices.Our team includes three experienced Vets (one holding an advanced certificate in Medicine), three Registered Veterinary Nurses, and seven support staff. From case discussions to shared lunches, we believe in a workplace that feels as good as it performs.Who We're Looking ForYou'll be a VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeon, or eligible to register, with experience in routine surgery and first-opinion consults.We're ideally seeking someone comfortable with soft tissue procedures, dentals, and day-to-day medical workups. But above all, we're looking for the right attitude - someone who enjoys teamwork, communicates well, and approaches each case with care and curiosity.All experience levels will be considered.
