The role
Overview
As a Building Inspector you will join a medium‑sized architectural practice based in Co Kildare. The focus is on residential developments and the team consists of architects, architectural technologists, and building surveyors. The role is primarily on‑site, with frequent visits throughout construction and completion phases.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for inspecting buildings to ensure compliance with the brief and relevant regulations. Your duties include: going to sites, working with contractors and site managers, performing surveys, and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders. You will work alongside a lead inspector who will provide training, after which you will have significant autonomy and report to the office only once or twice a month.
Job Requirements
Candidates should be an experienced building surveyor or architectural technologist seeking a transition to a more site‑based position. Excellent knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, DAC, and fire certification matters is required. Demonstrated site experience and the ability to conduct various types of surveys are essential.
Location & Compensation
The office is located in Co Kildare with projects across the Greater Dublin region. Salary will be based on experience and is competitive for the role. Mileage from site is reimbursed.
