Job Description
An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer is required to work with our pharmaceutical manufacturing client. The EHS Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining effective EHS management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide advice, support, and guidance on all matters of legal compliance regarding EHS Management.
* Maintain and continuously improve all aspects of the EHS management systems, including ISO Standards and the SAFE Programme.
* Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and training programmes as required.
* Develop a safety communication and consultation programme, working with the Safety Representative, Supervisors, and all employees.
* Carry out EHS hazard identification and risk assessments, and implement controls and emergency procedures.
* Maintain accurate data on accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences, and investigate as necessary.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in EHS within a busy, team-based, operational environment.
* Pharmaceutical Industry experience is preferred but not essential.
