Job Title: Business Development Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth, identify new opportunities, and strengthen client relationships across all divisions. This role involves strategic sales planning, contract negotiation, and commercial account management, with a strong focus on laboratory services. The successful candidate will be a proactive sales professional with a proven track record in B2B environments and will travel regularly to client sites and the head office in Galway.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Growth Strategy
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach.
* Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads through research and outreach.
* Collaborate with leadership and marketing to execute revenue-driving strategies.
* Track sales activity and performance using CRM tools.
* Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage renewals.
* Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity.
* Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Commercial Account Management
* Serve as the primary commercial contact for clients.
* Monitor account performance and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
* Maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and strategic reviews.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure service delivery and client satisfaction.
* Provide market and client feedback to inform business strategy.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years in business development, preferably in laboratory or technical services.
* Experience with public procurement and tender writing is a plus.
