A dynamic and results-driven Quantity Surveyor is required to oversee construction projects in MSD Ballydine. This permanent position offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a well-established contractor's commercial team, providing expert financial management support throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful financial management of our construction projects, including accurate and timely cost advice, cost planning, and commercial support.
Responsibilities include preparing tenders, analysing and selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation and finalisation of subcontract orders, financial and commercial management of subcontractors to Final Account completion. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reporting of forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in site records and document control, and commercially influencing/challenging site management teams while maintaining and protecting clients' commercial and contractual entitlement.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related field
• Minimum 4 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Excellent communication, negotiation and computer skills
• Experience building and maintaining supplier relationships
