Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Site Engineering Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be part of a team that delivers technical excellence on large construction projects across various locations. Your primary focus will be to establish and maintain effective procedures with design teams, clients, and subcontractors for seamless information flow, approvals, meetings, and reporting.
You will also be responsible for recording daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in site management systems. Compliance with ISO company procedures will be essential, as well as regular reporting to management on programme schedules and ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and building standards.
In addition, you will undertake surveys, ensure engineering details are followed on site, supervise subcontractors, and check the quality of works. Conducting document reviews, scheduling, and attending site meetings to guarantee overall compliance with building schedules will also be key responsibilities.
Reporting to Project Managers and senior management on all aspects of engineering related to the project will be crucial. You will also manage and provide training to junior staff and engineers, ensuring compliance with agreed construction methods, particularly those relating to Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.
Finally, you will manage project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, subcontract, and vendor closing, as well as submitting as-built documents.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
* An Engineering Degree is mandatory.
* Detailed knowledge of construction techniques and competency in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent IT skills, including good knowledge of MS Office and CAD software.
* A thorough understanding of Health and Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
* Strong Management Skills.
* A valid Full Irish Driving Licence.
