Réalta Technologies are searching for an Automation Engineer with Allen-Bradley systems experience to support a Medical Device client of ours based in Cork. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience working as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the programming, testing, and commissioning of Allen-Bradley PLC systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
* Support troubleshooting and maintenance of existing automation systems to ensure minimal downtime.
* Work with senior team members to integrate Allen-Bradley PLCs with other industrial systems such as HMI and SCADA.
* Maintain and update documentation, including PLC code annotations, electrical schematics, and system configuration.
* Participate in system upgrades, validation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
* Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and RSLogix 5000, with a willingness to learn more.
* Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP or DeviceNet is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in industrial automation and control systems.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with an eagerness to grow and take on new challenges.
