Senior Management Role: We are seeking an experienced individual with operations, engineering and lean manufacturing expertise to lead our growing medical device manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will be a key member of our management team responsible for all aspects of operational growth, including production and manufacturing engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the operations strategy aligned with company objectives
* Lead and manage the end-to-end operations value stream, overseeing direct management of manufacturing engineering teams and indirect leadership of quality and supply chain personnel
* Functional manager for the manufacturing engineering team, responsible for all engineering and facilities activities at the manufacturing site
* Drive continuous improvement through structured Lean manufacturing programmes, identifying opportunities for process, equipment, and workflow enhancements to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity and capacity
* Establish and maintain adherence to performance targets for operations, ensuring quality assurance processes meet company, regulatory, and customer standards
* Provide technical support for daily production requirements and drive process improvements for existing products and processes
* Develop budgets and manage operations costs, including human resources, materials, operations overhead, and capital expenditures
Requirements:
* Degree in Manufacturing, Production, or Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years' experience in operations or production management within a team-based manufacturing environment, with medical device background preferred but not essential
* Minimum 3 years' experience in engineering management, combined with required operations management experience
* Extensive experience in leading and applying Lean manufacturing methodologies
* Proven ability to develop and mentor a team
* Experience in preparing business strategies and implementing action plans
