As the Procurement Manager, you will work across the Speed Fibre Group, reporting to the Head of Procurement & Carrier Relations, managing the end-to-end procurement process.
The role will work cross-functionally with various departments and project teams across a variety of category spend /direct and indirect procurement, and cost saving projects.
We operate a hybrid working model, with 2 days per week in Dublin offices.
This role reports directly to the Head of Procurement & Carrier Relations.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all group entities, as well as with external supply partners and carriers.
Identify, lead and support cost reduction initiatives to drive value across procurement activities.
Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for all categories of goods and services, direct and indirect procurement, ensuring process efficiency and compliance.
Oversee procurement activities as a senior point of contact within the department.
Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and procedures, including oversight of approval workflows and compliance.
Represent the Procurement function in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as required.
Engage with key stakeholders to understand business needs and procurement requirements, both for individual projects and ongoing operations.
Source and onboard new suppliers in accordance with group governance standards; manage vendor relationships, performance, and compliance.
Lead the preparation, coordination, and execution of RFx (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and tender processes, including pricing and quotation evaluations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes, including involvement in system upgrades or new implementations.
Manage, track, prepare, and produce monthly reports/metrics.
Champion the Company's Values throughout operational performance.
Adherence to the Group's Performance Management process and objectives.
Participate in appropriate business and professional associations, networks, and activities relevant to the company's interests.
Advise and interact with senior management in respect of their area's responsibility.
Lead and manage Purchasing Specialist role.
Key Skills / Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience procurement role.
Third level qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain Management / Business.
Experience in the Telecommunications /ICT market particular SME required.
Previous leadership experience.
Ability to influence, align views and gain consensus, and provide clarity on what needs to be achieved.
Strong communication skills, with excellent spoken and written English.
Experience with ERP /financial systems required.
Ability to engage and negotiate with customers, colleagues, contractors, vendors, third party distributors and multiple stakeholders, forming effective relationships.
Previous experience of change management a distinct advantage.
High energy, strong work ethic, drive, integrity, can do attitude, ability to work independently and problem solving.
Strong business acumen is essential in this role.
