A leadingCivil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyorto join a multi-disciplinary civil engineering and utilities contractor inKildare.As a Site Engineer you are required to have a good knowledge and understanding of civil engineering and utility operations including a good knowledge of underground electrical networks, this should underpin an understanding of the requirements and needs of our extremely successful business unit. The successful candidate will be working on a wide variety of projects such as Residential, Commercial, Roads, Substations ect. Role: Oversee and manage all project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget. Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects. Manage NEC contracts, including interpreting contract clauses, managing early warnings, and assessing compensation events. Analyse and assess variations, manage claims in compliance with NEC guidelines, and ensure timely resolution of any contract issues. Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects. Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage subcontractor performance. Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying. 5+ years experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes. Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential. Proficient in the use of COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project software and MS Office suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
