PM Group's OTS (Outsourced Technical Servies) department are currently seeking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer for one our clients based in Co. Kilkenny. Responsibilities Daily Responsibilities Instrumentation Schedule & Spec - will require coordination with Mechanical and Process. Cable Schedules & Cable Calcs. Designer for flows, pipes sizes, specific requirements, etc. Automation Architecture, Hardware List and Specification. Intruder and fire alarm specifications. Panel Specification. Preparation of Electrical Panel RFQ package including indicative drawings, specification. IO list, system architecture, free issue equipment etc Check other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews Qualifications Requirements Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit would be an advantage, but not essential 5+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design Demonstrable experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. This include (but is not limited to) MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas and specialist control systems Ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are required to provide costs effective solutions for our clients Good verbal and written communication skills required All CV's are treated in the strictest confidence As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
