Chief network strategist

Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Cork, Ireland. This is a contract role that requires 5 days of work per week.


The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our stable network infrastructure environment and acting as an escalation point for field services IT issues in Cork. They will also be involved in critical incident resolution and interaction with service management teams.


This is a challenging role that requires high levels of communication and collaboration with internal IT groups such as architecture, compute, and workplace services (WPS), incident/change management teams & senior IT management.


The job involves engagement with technical/project teams, manufacturing operations, and engineering teams for the delivery of network projects. The successful candidate must have strong history in Network IT Operations with at least 3 years' experience.


Key Responsibilities:


* Maintenance of the network environment operational performance and stability across the campus
* Ensuring resilience for the business minimizing downtime and incidents
* Evaluating opportunities to improve current processes systems software networks or hardware devices employed by PGCS plant floor departments
