Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to join a well-established consultancy based in Galway City.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS to work on a diverse range of projects across the West of Ireland, ideally suited to candidates with a consultancy / professional services background.
Key Responsibilities
Manage cost planning, budgeting, and financial control across projects
Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contract administration
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering
Manage procurement processes and contractor selection
Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports
Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with client expectations
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
3+ years’ experience in a PQS / consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration
Experience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Desirable
Chartered status or working towards (SCSI / RICS)
Experience with Irish construction contracts and regulations
Proficiency in cost management software
