Transport Planner Location: Greenogue Business Park, Co.If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.Dublin D24 R9 YX Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 18:00 (flexibility required) We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join our fast-paced transport and distribution team.This is a key role within a busy and complex operation, responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of both our own fleet and preferred third-party carriers.Working closely with drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure efficient transport planning, full regulatory compliance, and a high level of service delivery to our customers.Key Responsibilities Plan and manage daily driver routes, ensuring full compliance with transport legislation, including tachographs, drivers hours, and SOPs, using company IT systems Develop and continuously improve transport delivery schedules to enhance service levels for customers and internal stakeholders Ensure fleet and driver operations remain within legislative guidelines, escalating and resolving any breaches immediately Liaise with drivers and third-party carriers to resolve transport-related queries Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders Ensure the timely and efficient dispatch of all loads Take full ownership and accountability for assigned areas of responsibility Support operational teams to achieve departmental and company KPIs Review and monitor driver performance using relevant IT systems Monitor, report, and manage tachograph data and driver working hours Track and report on driver performance using tools such as Cubo and Orbcomm Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to support fleet maintenance scheduling Provide data and insights to the Operations Manager to support periodic reporting About You Experienced in transport planning within a fast-moving distribution environment Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements Confident using transport and driver performance IT systems Highly organised with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Able to work flexibly with start and finish times to provide team cover when required Proactive, accountable, and able to perform under pressure Please note: Applicants must have an EU Working Visa (other than student orientation) to be considered for this position.About us: PRL, a family-owned Irish indigenous business, plays a vital role in supporting consumers in everyday living.As a leading provider of in-market sales, end-to-end solutions in freight, logistics and warehousing, we partner with flagship brands across various sectors to meet their unique needs.Our strong culture centers on people and values, fostering a sustainable future for our teams and company.
