A hospital in the Leinster region requires a Consultant Radiologist for at least 1 year.

The hospital provides a wide range of radiological services to both hospital specialties and general practitioners. The current five consultant team of Radiologists provide a full range of radiological diagnostic services to patients of the Hospital and GP referrals of the surrounding areas to the hospital.
Non invasive service include: plain radiographs, general medical ultrasound scans (excluding obstetrics) and contrast ultrasound and screening for dysplasia/dislocated hips in infants and DVT diagnosis, CT scans including 24 hour consultant delivered regional stroke service scans and MRI scan reporting.
Invasive service include: CT guided Lung nodule biopsy, US guided FNA thyroid nodules/cysts, insertion of drains, PICC lines and PEG tubes. The radiologists also provide an advisory weekly MDT service in medicine, paediatrics and surgery which is integral to best practice.
Benefits:
Initial contract of 1 year. Might have a possibility of extension.
Approximate net monthly salary of€ net/month after tax and pension deductions for Consultant positions. Could have the possibility to earn more money through private patients attending the hospital. Typical long term Consultants in Ireland are earning in excess of ******€ net/month (approximately *******€ gross/year).
31 working days per Year holidays for Consultants+ public holidays (t is 9 in a year).
7 study days leave per year to erences or further education for Consultants.
Up to ****€ for educational funding for Consultants.
Lucrative pension scheme included.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Should be on the Specialist registrar of the Irish Medical Council for Radiology if this is NOT the case we will help all eligible candidates to get registered with the Irish Medical Council on the Specialist Registrar if he/she has completed his training in Radiology inside the European Union. Please take into account that the process can take up to 3-4 months in total.
Have a very good command of written and spoken English.
Good motivation to go to Ireland to work as a doctor ASAP.
4. At least 5-6 years experience in Radiology is required (including your training years). An interest in Intensive care medicine would be recomendable in this case.
. The candidate will have appropriate experience in general adult radiology, especially adult general and musculosketal MR imaging, MSK interventional procedures, general CT and ultrasound, general interventional radiology capabilities associated with body imaging and familiarity with the radiological management of acute trauma.
