We consistently strive to be a progressive, open employer focusing on development and growth.The RoleReporting to the Construction Director, the ideal candidate will have the overall responsibility for the full construction lifecycle of fitout and refurb projects, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget whilst meeting the client’s requirements in terms of specification and quality of finish.This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop their career within the construction industry in an exciting, growing firm.ResponsibilitiesThese include but are not limited to:Health and Safety ensuring all of the requirements of the role of PSCS are adhered to and that safety protocols on site are of the highest possible standardUnderstand and be fully familiar with the contract documents – drawings, specifications, BOQ etcManaging client expectations and ensuring that these are metProgramming the works ensuring a clear schedule of deliverables, and maintaining the programme on siteTracking progress and ensuring the contract is completed safely, within budget and on time to required standardMonitoring subcontractor performance with focus on health and safety, quality, cost and programmeLiaising and working with the QS to manage the costs on the project and ensure targets are achievedMeet regularly with clients, design team and senior management to update them on the project progress.Coordination of the supply chain procurement process to ensure construction phase proceeds to programme requirementsDealing with the public and regulatory bodies regarding queries/complaintsEnsure that company policies and procedures and implemented and adhered to on siteReporting regularly to the construction director advising of progress on site and issues affecting targets and objectives for the projectLeading and organising the dedicated site teamIdentifying and proposing areas for improvementKey Skills & ExperienceA successful candidate will demonstrate the following:Degree in Construction Management or related field.Minimum 5 years relevant experienceExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft ProjectExcellent leadership skills to motivate and directStrong communication skills (both written and oral) with an ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholdersStrong attention to detail and excellent technical knowledge of construction methodology, building processes and detailsAbility to work under pressure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, managing time effectively to meet challenging work goalsStrong organisational skills, using resources to ensure deadlines are met and the project budget is maintainedAbility to take initiative and work both individually and as a strong team playerCompany BenefitsFull time/permanent employmentCompany pensionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeProfessional development & training opportunitiesGreat working conditions with a progressive companyThis job description is intended to cover the minimum duties and responsibilities required for this role.
