Role Overview
The Lead Generation Coordinator supports the company's growth by identifying, researching, and developing new opportunities across both customers and suppliers. The role bridges procurement and sales by combining research, proactive outreach, data management, and CRM upkeep. Use of AI tools for research, data enrichment, and market insights will form part of daily activity, ensuring efficiency and innovation. This is an entry-level/junior role, ideal for someone who is organized, curious, and motivated to build a career in commercial development.
Key Responsibilities
· Research and identify potential new customers and suppliers using industry databases, online tools, and AI-driven search/analytics platforms.
· Support re-engagement with dormant suppliers/customers by gathering updated information on pricing, capabilities, and market positioning.
· Use AI tools to assist with lead qualification, trend analysis, and competitor/market monitoring.
· Maintain and update CRM and supplier/customer databases, ensuring records are accurate, consistent, and categorized (including geographical/market tracking).
· Record outreach activities, track responses, and schedule follow-ups in the CRM.
· Prepare reports and summaries for the commercial team on lead status, market insights, and supplier/customer engagement.
· Provide administrative support for commercial projects (presentations, contact lists, data reports, supplier/customer profiles).
· Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to align lead generation with business needs.
Skills & Experience
· 0–2 years' experience in sales support, procurement support, research, or a commercial environment (internship/placement also considered).
· Strong research and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
· Comfortable using CRM systems, Excel, or databases (training will be provided).
· Interest in and willingness to learn how to apply AI tools for research, data enrichment, and workflow efficiency.
· Clear written and verbal communication skills, confident in engaging with new contacts.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn about both sales and procurement functions.
Success Measures (KPIs)
· Accuracy and completeness of CRM and supplier/customer data.
· Number of new qualified leads identified (both customer & supplier).
· Engagement/reactivation of dormant suppliers/customers.
· Effective use of AI to improve lead generation speed and quality.
· Contribution to the strength of supplier and customer pipelines.
