About the Role
Furthr is growing and expanding its Acceleration team to further support the design, development and delivery of programmes for its client base.
The
Innovation Programme Content Designer and Developer
will play a pivotal role in the development of existing programmes and the design and development of new programmes.
It requires strong previous experience of programme design from the ground up, including the determination of the pedagogical approach and the sourcing and creation of unique learning content.
The successful candidate will manage all programmes through their lifecycle, learning and adapting based on programme performance.
The role involves reviewing all existing programmes and the creation of new programmes, and supporting a \'train the trainer\' handover of content to the programme delivery team.
The role requires a strong knowledge of enabling delivery technologies that will complement programme delivery, and a strong understanding of how technology, in particular AI, is changing business models of startups, and how this in turn impacts programme content.
Work Location
Furthr office in the Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC) and remotely per Smart working (hybrid) policy and as agreed with the Manager.
Responsibilities
Programme & Curriculum Design
Lead the design of structured entrepreneurial acceleration and innovation programmes and targeted masterclasses.
Develop curricula that blend theory, practice, and real-world application, ensuring high relevance for entrepreneurs at varying stages.
Identify and integrate sectoral trends, case studies, and ecosystem insights into programme design.
Content Development & Pedagogy
Create and oversee development of blended learning content (workshops, online modules, toolkits, case examples).
Apply best-in-class teaching and learning methodologies, including experiential, action-based, and peer-to-peer learning approaches.
Design pre-work, in-session, and post-session activities that reinforce participant engagement and retention.
Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
Collaborate with subject matter experts, mentors, and industry leaders to co-develop relevant content.
Build and maintain connections within Ireland\'s entrepreneurial ecosystem (investors, corporates, universities, agencies).
Continuously gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to refine programme design.
Delivery Enablement
Develop facilitator and mentor guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
Explore and implement innovative digital tools and platforms to enhance learning experiences.
Monitor and evaluate programme outcomes, producing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
Problem-solving aptitude
Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all relevant levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong team player and excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Highly competent in Microsoft 365
Strong knowledge/experience of content authoring tools
Experience of working with Learning Management Systems in the deployment of content and programmes
Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and projects and learn in a dynamic environment
The role requires a person with a "can do" attitude and a strong sense of autonomy and the ability to work off their own initiative
Experience /exposure to Ireland\'s innovation and startup ecosystems would be highly advantageous
Five+ years in educational programme design
Bachelor\'s degree in a related discipline or relevant experience supplemented with equivalent qualification
Master\'s/Post grad qualification/MBA degree a plus
