THE ROLE Tesco Ireland is seeking a Line Manager who will support and lead a department and team to deliver the best shopping experience for our customers.
Reporting to the Deputy Manager, this role will ensure we serve Ireland's shoppers a little better each day.
Creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers Being responsible for the store when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are absent Ensuring the team is fully trained and validated in their roles Fostering two-way communication and a culture of trust Coaching colleagues to meet daily priorities and deliver excellent customer service Reviewing reports and systems to implement improvements for customers and colleagues Driving a culture of zero food waste by managing date codes and food safety Recruiting passionate colleagues dedicated to customer service Understanding and delivering cleaning standards through leading by example Managing stock control, warehouse layout, and routines for first-time accuracy Addressing pricing discrepancies, refunds, and labelling routines to ensure correct charges Managing front-end operations to prevent queues Recognizing and providing feedback on colleagues' service performance The ideal candidate will have:
